Registered NDIS Provider · Australia-wide

Where home means more than four walls. Specialists in Supported Independent Living — real homes, real people, real lives unfolding in their own time.

Welcome home

Your home, away from home.

Second Home is a registered NDIS provider specialising in Supported Independent Living. We build real homes — places that feel lived-in from the moment you walk in.

We work with you, your family, and your support team to design a daily life that fits the person you actually are, in a home that fits the way you actually want to live.

Who we are

A specialist team. A family-first approach.

We're one of Australia's leading NDIS-registered providers for Home and Living supports — but the title that matters most is the one the people who live with us give us: family.

Across our homes in Melbourne, the Gold Coast and beyond, we combine professional expertise with genuine warmth. Every staff member is NDIS-screened, fully qualified, and chosen for a heart-first attitude.

  • Australia-wide Melbourne · Gold Coast · and wherever you call home
  • NDIS registered Full compliance, all the time
  • Heart-first staff Screened, trained, chosen for who they are

Supported Independent Living

Independence doesn't mean doing it alone.

It means having the right support, the right environment, and the right people around you. Our SIL homes are designed around choice and control — you decide who lives with you, how you spend your days, and what feels like home.

We provide 24/7 on-site support tailored to daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement. Every plan is built around the person, not the paperwork.

  • Personalised care plans
  • 24/7 on-site support
  • Choice in housemates and support workers
  • Daily life skills & community connection

Our homes

Real walls. Real warmth. Really home.

Our houses aren't institutions with hand-rails added on. They're proper homes — verandahs, gardens, a kitchen where you can cook a Sunday roast, a couch you can flop onto after a long day.

Bring your own furniture. Bring your own pet. Bring whatever makes a place feel like yours. We'll work the safety modifications and accessibility into the home, not the other way around.

  • Your furniture welcome
  • Pet-friendly (let's have a yarn)
  • Safety modifications built in, not bolted on
  • Spaces that grow with you

Meet the team

The hearts behind the home.

From leadership to live-in support, every member of the Second Home team is here for one reason: to nurture lives, not just manage properties.

  • Yiu Kin Cheung Chief Executive Officer
  • Dr. Heena Sinha Cheung Chief Operating Officer
  • Reenu Aggarwal Director of Operations
  • Raddhika Malhotra Director of Finance
  • Amarjeet Sandhu Director of Human Resources
  • Piku Sinha Residential Care Officer / Director of Sales

Our approach

Every small win, documented and shared.

We're a results-driven service, but the results we chase are personal ones — a first cooked meal, a friendship made at the dinner table, an afternoon walk completed without help.

We provide transparent progress reports aligned with your NDIS goals, so every quiet milestone is seen by the people who matter.

In their own words

Real stories. Real trust.

There is no better measure of what we do than the words of the people who live with us.

Finally feel that we have built trust with our main worker, and we are happy we can choose who our support workers are.

Jamie Choice & Control

I am very happy with the services provided by SH. They are attentive, listen carefully to our feedback, and take prompt action to address any concerns.

Ken Responsiveness

I have developed a strong sense of trust with my main support worker, which makes me feel safe and comfortable. The consistent support I receive has helped build a positive and meaningful relationship.

Sian Safety & Rapport

Questions, asked plainly

The things people always want to know.

For participants

  • How do you match me with housemates?

While we can't always guarantee a specific individual, we go to great lengths to ensure compatibility. We look at your personality, hobbies and daily routines to find a housemate who shares a similar vibe — so the home feels harmonious from day one.

  • Can I bring my own furniture and my pet?

Yes! This is your home. We encourage you to bring your own furniture and personal touches to make your bedroom a real sanctuary. As for pets, we're pet-friendly — we just need to have a yarn first to make sure the house and your future housemates are a good fit for your furry friend.

  • What if I don't get along with my support worker?

Choice and control are your rights. If you don't feel a spark with a particular worker, just let us know — we'll work with you to find a better match within our team.

For support coordinators

  • How do I find out about current vacancies?

Please reach out via our Contact Us page or submit a Referral Form. We provide real-time updates on availability and aim to respond to all enquiries within 24–48 hours.

  • How do you handle reporting and goal tracking?

We're results-driven. We provide regular, transparent progress reports that align with the participant's NDIS goals, ensuring every small win is documented and shared with the care team.

  • What level of support do you provide?

We specialise in Supported Independent Living (SIL), providing 24/7 on-site support tailored to daily living skills, personal care and community engagement.

For families

  • How do you ensure the safety of the residents?

Safety is our non-negotiable. All homes feature necessary safety modifications, and our staff undergo rigorous NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid and CPR training. We also have 24/7 on-call management support.

  • Can I visit whenever I want?

Of course. We don't have visiting hours — this is your family member's home. We love seeing families join us for a cuppa or a BBQ whenever it suits you.

  • How involved are we in the decision-making process?

As much as the participant wants. We value the Circle of Support and work closely with families to ensure a smooth, stress-free transition into the Second Home community.

General enquiries

  • What areas do you service?

We're Australia-wide and we come to you. Whether you're in the heart of the city or out in a regional community, distance is never a barrier. Give us a bell — we'll go the extra mile to make it work.

  • What are the requirements for SIL?

You're 18 or above, you have (or are applying for) SIL funding in your NDIS plan, and you have a genuine desire to live more independently. If you're not sure, don't sweat it — reach out and we'll help you navigate the requirements.
